Queues formed on the Danish-Swedish border - Sveriges Radio

After the decision of the Danish government to open the border for all Swedish citizens without exception, and not only for residents of individual regions, queues were formed on the territory of the Eresunn Strait from cars long for the entire bridge connecting the two countries. This was announced on August 4 by the Sveriges Radio news service. Recall that on July 30, the Danish government decided to open the state border with Sweden. From August 1, residents of all regions of Sweden can visit a neighboring country. Prior to this, only 12 of Sweden's 21 regions could have the right to cross the state border and get into the territory of their southern neighbor. However, three days after the border was opened, traffic jams formed on the Eresunna bridge due to increased sanitary and epidemiological control at checkpoints during the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus infection. On a normal day, in the absence of such border control, it takes me from 25 to 30 minutes to drive from home to work. Now in the morning it takes about another half hour or forty minutes, Rajad Sohail, who goes to work every day from Malmö to Copenhagen, told reporters.
