Indonesian Ambassador to Ukraine spoke about bilateral cooperation

Indonesian Ambassador to Ukraine Yuddi Crisnandy spoke about various events in bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Ukraine, the country's foreign ministry reports. The Ambassador explained the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), especially Indonesia. According to him, this corresponds to the tendency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to pay more attention to the Asian region. Yuddi Crisnandy stressed that there is still great potential in the economic sector, which can be maximized by the two countries, in addition to the export and import of wheat products and palm oil, which continue to this day. The total volume of bilateral trade between Indonesia and Ukraine in 2019 reached 1.26 billion US dollars. Regarding the investment sector, the Ambassador of Indonesia spoke about a number of major investment projects in Indonesia that could become potential for foreign investors. In the field of tourism, the Ambassador of Indonesia called on Ukrainian tourists to explore other islands besides Bali, which is already very popular with Ukrainian tourists. According to the news agency, the United States expressed its intention to continue to strengthen cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), especially in the field of economic recovery after the pandemic and vaccine development.
