U.S. authorities expand sanctions against Cuba


New sanctions against Cuba were adopted by the U.S. authorities, adding seven more organizations to the sanctions list, on June 3, the press service of the State Department on Twitter reports. According to the State Department, these organizations, which include three hotels, two diving centers, a water park and a financial company, are allegedly controlled by the Cuban army. In addition, the report notes that most of Cuba's tourist sphere may be subordinate to the military. According to the news agency, in mid-May, the United States included Cuba in the list of countries that do not sufficiently assist Washington in the fight against terrorism.
