From June 22 in Ukraine may again tighten quarantine - Lyashko

Since June 22, severe quarantine restrictions may return in some regions of Ukraine, said the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko on June 18 during a briefing. According to him, at the moment the country's authorities are considering several scenarios. If we move without seasonality, in some areas of our country hard quarantine can be introduced from June 22, the dynamics of growth can show these figures. If we go according to another scenario, the probability that we can go through summer without quarantine is also high enough, the country can live without quarantine for 3 4 months, Lyashko said. He added that everything will depend on the observance of sanitary standards by the population of Ukraine. In the event of outbreaks of coronavirus pneumonia, severe quarantine will be introduced in some regions. According to the news agency, Lyashko said earlier that without the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine, a jump in mortality from the consequences caused by coronavirus could have died 145 thousand people.
