Russian military specialists returned from Serbia
On May 16, more than 40 soldiers and four units of special equipment of the Russian Defense Ministry Integrated Unit, which assisted the friendly country in combating the spread of a new coronavirus infection, were delivered to the Moscow airfield of Chkalovsky by three Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Federation from Serbia. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. After the landing of the aircraft and the carrying out of mandatory sanitary and epidemiological events, a solemn meeting of returned military specialists took place at the airfield, in which the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation participated the Head of the General Military-Political Department of the Russian Armed Forces, Colonel-General Andrei Kartapov. Adequately, with risk for life, having perfectly fulfilled the most difficult tasks in Serbia, you returned with honor to the Motherland, to your relatives and friends. Special words of gratitude to our female soldiers, whose resilience and responsibility is admired by the whole world, Kartapov said. As previously reported by the news agency, a convoy with soldiers and special equipment of the integrated unit of the Russian Defense Ministry moved to the Serbian airfield of Batainica for departure home, from the temporary deployment point in Belgrade. We remind that specialists of the troops of the RCS Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation together with the Serbian military from April 4 to May 16 carried out disinfection of medical institutions and socially important facilities in more than 40 settlements of Serbia. Eight medical and nursing teams of the Covid-19 unit participated in the examination and treatment of patients with injuries. Russian military epidemiologists and virologists participated in the organization of anti-epidemic measures in the country.
