175 companies received preferential loans in Latvia - Berzins
Altum State Financial Institution issued loans to 175 companies for a total amount of 41 million euros for a part-month period to replenish working capital. This, according to the Dienas Business portal, was reported by the Chairman of the Board of the Latvian State Financial Institution Reinis Berzins. We also work on weekends to ensure quick decision-making. If the financial situation of the borrower's company is orderly, the decision on lending is made within three days, Berzins said. According to him, 77% or 135 enterprises credited to Altum belong to small businesses. He added that 125 million euros have been allocated to maintain the economy to date. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from 13 March to 12 May due to the pandemic.
