Stockholm recorded high level of coronavirus spread
According to the Swedish Public Health Agency, the virus has COVID-19 moved to the next stage of distribution in society. The worst situation is in Stockholm, where the Agency calls for remote work. The body also recommends that older citizens stay at home and not go shopping. This was reported by the Swedish edition of Aftonbladet on 16 March. The number of confirmed cases of new coronavirus infection in Sweden exceeded 1,000. On 16 March, the Swedish Public Health Agency announced for the first time that COVID-19 was the most widespread in society. According to Sweden's chief epidemiologist, Anders Tegnel, this is most clearly evidenced by the situation in Stockholm. Now is the time to move to remote work. This is especially true for the inhabitants of the Stockholm region. Those who have the opportunity to work from home should continue to work in this way in the near future, Tegnel said at today's press conference. Sweden's chief epidemiologist also stressed the importance of protecting the health of older persons and stated that if they found any symptoms of cold disease, citizens should refuse to visit their elderly relatives. Asked whether older citizens should leave the house and go to grocery stores, Tegnel replied: No, in the current situation we, as a society, must find other ways to solve this problem. It will be better for them, for you and for the entire health care system. Yeah, maybe it won 't be so happy for them to be at home locked up, but that will ultimately only benefit everyone.
