Israel to close borders for tourists who will not be able to quarantine

On March 12, the Government of Israel closes the borders to all tourists who, if necessary, will not be able to carry out a 14-day quarantine not at the hotel. This was stated by Vladimir Shklyar, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in the Russian Federation and the CIS, Adviser to the Embassy of the State of Israel in Moscow. For example, 20 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, all tourists entering the country from anywhere in the world must provide local authorities with evidence that they can carry out a 14-day quarantine not at the hotel. Until then, tourists may come from permitted countries, but entry into Israel is prohibited for residents of China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Macau, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Egypt, Andorra, San Marino. Entry from Jordanian territory is closed. Tourists in Israel who have flights from Jordan or vice versa, tourists in Jordan who depart Israel must travel to the border six hours before flying with proof of the availability of air tickets, Israel's tourism ministry said. In case tourists are already in the territory of the country or plan to arrive in it before 20 o 'clock on March 12, they can continue their route of travel, but adhere to a number of rules: When there are first signs of respiratory diseases, call ambulance 101, observe strict hygiene rules, avoid places of mass accumulation of people, including public transport, places of rest and shopping centers, hospitals and clinics. Thus, in the country all major mass events and meetings, with the participation of more than 5000 people, have been cancelled or postponed to a later date, Vladimir Shklyar explained.
