South Korea continues to close educational institutions due to coronavirus
In South Korea, more than 500 educational institutions were temporarily closed due to the spread of new type pneumonia caused by coronavirus 2019- nCoV. This is reported by KBS with reference to representatives of the Ministry of Education of the country. According to them, as of February 6, 10:00 local time, 592 educational institutions were temporarily closed in South Korea, including 450 kindergartens, 77 primary schools, 29 secondary schools, 33 senior schools and 3 special schools. It is noted that 158 kindergartens were closed in the city of Gwangju, where two cases of infection were confirmed. In Seoul, the number of educational institutions falling under temporary closure also increased to 58, in Gyeongido Province to 224 institutions, in Cholla Pukto Province to 144 institutions, in Chhuncheon Namdo Province to four institutions, in Busan, Incheon and Chhuncheon Pukto Province to one institution each.
