Erdogan promises to push SAR army out of Idlib zone at all costs

Turkey is determined to push Syrian government forces outside its observation posts in the Idlib de-escalation zone. This was stated by Turkish President Rekeep Taip Erdoğan on February 12 during a speech in Parliament. He stressed that Assad's regime troops should be thrown outside the Idlib zone before the end of February. Ankara is ready to use any necessary force to do so. Erdogan also said that if Turkey's positions were attacked, there would be retaliatory attacks on the Syrian military even if their positions were outside the territories stipulated in the Sochi memorandum. According to the news agency, Erdoğan claimed the death of at least 14 Turkish soldiers in two shelling attacks in the Syrian province of Idlib.
