Two Kurdish rebels detained in Turkey


Turkish law enforcement authorities arrested two members of the Kurdistan Workers 'Party (PKK), according to Anadolu Ajansi on 17 February. According to journalists, the rebels voluntarily laid down their weapons and surrendered to the authorities. They crossed the border with Syria, where in the ranks of rebels fought the Turkish military, which invaded the territory of a sovereign state. Recall, the Kurdistan Workers 'Party is considered a terrorist organization in Turkey, and its activities in the country are prohibited. The rebels are fighting for the right to establish their own autonomy within the state.
